International footballer shot dead

Panama international Amilcar Henriquez has been shot dead.
The 33-year-old football star was killed near his home this morning while two of his friends are in hospital receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the gun attack.
Witness reports say that a red Nissan was seen in the area before the attacker got out of his car and shot at Henriquez and his companions several times.
Panama’s president, Juan Carlos Varela took to Twitter to condemn the killing.
He posted: “We wholeheartedly condemn the murder of Amilcar Henriquez.
“We will put all our efforts to catch those responsible.”
